Job Description

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping members achieve their homeownership goals? Join Oregon State Credit Union as a Mortgage Loan Processor II and play a key role in guiding real estate loans from application through funding. In this role, you'll work closely with members, loan officers, underwriters, and external partners to ensure a smooth, accurate, and efficient lending experience. As a Mortgage Loan Processor II, you'll be responsible for obtaining and reviewing supporting documentation, preparing complete loan files for underwriting review, tracking loans throughout the process, and monitoring loan pipelines to ensure timely closings and funding. You'll also make credit decisions on Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit within established authority while delivering exceptional service to members and coworkers alike What you will need to be successful:
Mortgage Lending & Processing Expertise:
Ability to process and track mortgage loan applications, review supporting documentation, prepare files for underwriting, and ensure compliance with secondary market and internal lending guidelines. Experience managing multiple loans in various stages of the process while meeting deadlines and funding expectations.
Communication & Relationship Building:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively assist members, loan officers, underwriters, branch staff, and external real estate partners. Commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining positive professional relationships.
Organization & Problem Solving:
Excellent time management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to monitor loan pipelines, identify issues, prioritize work, and coordinate activities to keep transactions moving efficiently toward closing and funding.
Technical Proficiency & Accuracy:
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, loan documentation systems, and real estate lending software. Strong attention to detail and ability to review documentation thoroughly while maintaining accurate records and loan files.
Compliance & Decision Making:
Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, including
BSA/AML/OFAC
requirements. Ability to make Home Equity Loan and Home Equity Line of Credit decisions within established approval limits and maintain SAFE Act registration requirements.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Two years of real estate lending experience required, including experience working with secondary market investor underwriting guidelines. Customer service experience required. Compensation:
