Job Description

DPI Staffing is hiring a temporary Loan Specialist in Salem, Oregon! This is a great opportunity for anyone with experience in residential mortgage loan processing to gain experience working with ORVET home loan program!

Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay:
$20.75 per hour Key Responsibilities Provide loan processing support for the ORVET Home Loan Program during a period of high volume/staff vacancy. Set up and maintain loan files in the loan origination system (Calyx Point); verify that entered data matches the application and supporting documents. Review broker and lender loan submissions for completeness and accuracy. Order, track and follow up on third-party items: verifications of employment and deposit, title reports, appraisals, flood certifications, hazard insurance, and payoff statements. Track outstanding underwriting conditions, collect documents to clear them, and route completed files to the underwriter. Assist in preparing disclosures, closing packages and funding documents for review and issuance by ODVA staff. Review closed-loan files delivered by lending partners for completeness before loan purchase. Maintain the pipeline/status log; answer file-status inquiries from brokers, lenders, and veterans. Requirements Two or more years of residential mortgage loan processing experience, taking files from application through closing. Working knowledge of mortgage documentation and compliance: reading DU/AUS findings, credit reports, income and asset documents, title commitments, and appraisals; familiarity with TRID (Loan Estimate/Closing Disclosure) timing requirements. Proficiency with a loan origination system (Calyx Point preferred) and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; fast, accurate data entry. Demonstrated discretion handling confidential borrower financial information (nonpublic personal information under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act).
