General Manager SUMMARY We are looking for an outgoing and genuinely friendly individual to become part of a team to operate a brand new 36 room boutique hotel located in downtown Santa Rosa. We are a locally owned and operated hotel and newly opened hotel that offers our guests a sophisticated stay close to everything. Be responsible for the hotel's front desk operation and night audit function while making every guest feel special. Be able to perform check-in and check-out procedures in compliance with policies with a genuine smile. Use the computer to process guest transactions and setup guest reservations. Become familiar with guest facilities and area attractions and assist guest requests and questions. Run reports and use Property Management System. Answer telephones in timely basis and transfer calls. Perform other duties as needed by Manager. Records all incoming reservations in the reservation system accurately and in accordance with property rates and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES I
nclude the following, but not limited to: Wears uniform and name tag at all times. Follows Covid 19 prevention protocols. Obtains all requirements from the guest to secure proper advance reservations, check-in and check-out functions. Notes any special request on each reservation. Familiar with all marketing programs, rates and packages. Greets arriving and departing guests with warm sincere greeting. Presents registration card properly, establish credit with customer, properly assign room, register guest in computer system, confirm arrival and departure dates, room rates, smoking policy and property orientation. Properly handles room key procedures ensuring room key matches guest registration. Properly records all wakeup call requests. Properly handles guest mail, package, messages and laundry procedures. Upsells the hotel and all amenities. Handles guest complaints courteously and efficiently within the company policy and also advise management. Properly handles guest check out procedures with presenting guest folios, review of folio, settle guest charges, posting charges and collecting room keys. Strong mathematical skills and pays close attention to detail Able to work 11pm - 7am shift Able to handle security issues Knowledge of difference between credits and debits and ability to add and subtract to post charges correctly. Handles Lost and Found items and directs guests to proper department in a helpful manner. Performs shift duties in accurate and timely manner. Follows all company policies. Fully understands all fire and emergency procedures. Maintains good personal hygiene habits. Promotes positive guest and employee relations.
