Position is from 12 am (midnight) until 8 am for 4 to 5 days a week night auditor is responsible for managing the front desk overnight, primarily by checking in late-arriving guests, handling guest requests, balancing cash drawers, reconciling daily financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of all accounting records, essentially acting as the primary point of contact for guests during the night shift while also closing out the day's financial operations. Key responsibilities of a hotel night auditor: Guest check-in and check-out: Assisting guests with late-night arrivals, processing check-ins, and handling check-out procedures.
Financial reconciliation:
Balancing cash drawers, reconciling receipts, reviewing and adjusting financial transactions to ensure accuracy of daily revenue and expenses.
Front desk operations:
Answering phone calls, taking reservations, providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
Customer service:
Addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive guest experience throughout the night.
Reporting:
Generating reports on daily transactions, room availability, and other relevant data.
Security oversight:
Monitoring hotel security during the night shift.
Communication with other departments:
Coordinating with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to address guest needs. Required skills for a hotel night auditor: Strong attention to detail: Necessary for accurately reviewing and balancing financial transactions.
