Role:
The Hotel Comfort Suites Southpark Guest Room Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort that guests expect from our establishment. This position is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of guest rooms to ensure they meet or exceed company quality standards before guests check in. The inspector identifies any maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, or missing amenities and coordinates with housekeeping and maintenance teams to resolve them promptly. By ensuring each room is impeccably prepared, the inspector directly contributes to guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation for excellence. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to upholding the brand's hospitality standards consistently across all guest accommodations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, maintenance, or quality control preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance issues. Basic knowledge of hotel safety and hygiene standards. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment. Familiarity with hospitality quality assurance processes and inspection checklists. Basic understanding of maintenance and repair procedures. Customer service experience with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to use digital tools or software for reporting and tracking inspections.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspections of guest rooms daily to verify cleanliness, functionality, and overall presentation. Identify and document any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items and communicate these to the appropriate departments for immediate resolution. Ensure all guest rooms are stocked with necessary amenities and comply with brand standards and safety regulations. Collaborate closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to prioritize and follow up on corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of inspections and report trends or recurring issues to management to support continuous improvement. Assist in training housekeeping staff on quality standards and inspection procedures as needed. Respond promptly to guest feedback related to room conditions and work to resolve concerns efficiently.
