US Payroll Manager Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. - 2.9 Plano, TX Job Details 1 hour ago Qualifications Data-driven problem-solving Full Job Description Air Distribution Technologies is seeking a US Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and payroll tax compliance for U.S. employees. Reporting to the Global Payroll Director, this role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of end-to-end payroll processing, payroll tax administration, compliance, audits, reporting, and team leadership. The US Payroll Manager will oversee Payroll Analysts, maintain SOX-compliant processes and controls, monitor regulatory changes, and partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to support operational excellence, compliance, and employee satisfaction. What You'll Do Lead the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all U.S. employees, including regular payroll cycles, bonuses, deductions, off-cycle payments, and year-end payroll activities. Ensure payroll tax compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including the timely filing, reporting, and remittance of payroll taxes. Develop, implement, and continuously improve payroll policies, procedures, and operational controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting payroll and taxation, assess business impacts, and communicate recommendations to leadership. Establish, maintain, and monitor SOX-compliant payroll controls and supporting process documentation. Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring payroll records, controls, and documentation meet compliance requirements. Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities; provide reporting and recommendations to leadership. Prepare and deliver payroll metrics, tax reporting, and compliance updates to support informed business decisions. Lead, coach, and develop Payroll Analysts, fostering a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing team environment. Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, and other business stakeholders to ensure payroll services effectively support organizational objectives and employee needs. What We Look For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field. 5-10 years of payroll management and payroll tax compliance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, including
FLSA, IRS
guidelines, federal, state, and local tax requirements. Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms. Familiarity with ERP and General Ledger systems such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable business applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret payroll data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex payroll and tax matters to diverse audiences. Demonstrated customer-service orientation and the ability to build strong partnerships across the organization. Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification. Master's degree or MBA in a business-related discipline. Experience managing payroll operations across multiple states or locations. Knowledge of payroll tax law changes and regulatory compliance requirements. Experience leading teams within a global or multicultural business environment. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office or hybrid work environment and requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders. The role requires a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail when handling payroll and employee data.
