This position is responsible for maintaining accurate payroll information, supporting accounts receivable activities, reconciling financial records, and ensuring financial documentation is complete and organized. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation, experience working with payroll and financial systems, and the ability to handle sensitive information with accuracy and discretion. Responsibilities Prepare and process employee payroll accurately and according to established schedules. Review timekeeping records, payroll adjustments, deductions, and other payroll information prior to processing. Maintain employee payroll records and process updates involving new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and other employment changes. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee questions regarding pay and deductions. Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and assist with customer account reconciliation. Review outstanding account balances and follow up on past-due payments as necessary. Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving customer payments and account balances. Prepare routine payroll, receivable, and accounting reports for management. Assist with month-end accounting activities and reconciliations. Maintain complete and organized financial records and supporting documentation. Follow applicable payroll requirements and established internal accounting procedures. Assist with additional accounting and administrative functions as needed. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required; bachelor's degree preferred. Previous professional experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial function. Working knowledge of ADP, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel . Strong understanding of fundamental accounting and payroll practices. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail when working with financial information. Ability to organize multiple responsibilities and consistently meet recurring deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee, payroll, and financial information. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
