OVERVIEW

Join our dynamic team as a Construction Accounting and Payroll Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in managing financial operations and payroll processes within the construction industry. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process weekly union payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage/public work projects Prepare and assist with union reporting Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions Prepare and process customer invoices and construction-related billings Record and apply customer payments accurately in accounting system Maintain customer accounts, monitor outstanding receivables, and assist in collections Review accounts payable invoices for accuracy, costs to jobs, cost codes, etc. Enter accounts payable invoices into accounting system Research and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies Assist with payment processing and preparation of vendor payments Provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support to the Controller Assist with account reconciliations, research and supporting schedules as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of accounting/payroll experience, preferably in construction industry Strong experience with union payroll Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements is highly preferred Experience with

construction accounting software preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general office applications Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll, employee and financial information

Pay:

$36.00 - $38.00 per hour
