Job Description

SUMMARY Responsible for providing administrative support for the Human Resources Department on policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. Responsible for payroll function which includes payroll processing, benefits, taxes and financial reports. The salary range is $35 to $39 per hour in addition to a robust benefits package and profit sharing program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the associates in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues. Assists in the recruitment and interview process. Administers job-related employment tests, investigation requests, and new associate background checks. Leads orientation and on-boarding program. Provides support for training programs; updating training documentation in HRIS and excel spreadsheets. Responsible for maintaining personnel and payroll records and ensuring compliance. Assists with processing of terminations. Performs investigations for accidents and insurance carrier report preparation. Performs the payroll function for the company (verify time, prepare, print and mail). Process all EFT's for Payroll (IRS, State of DE, and Pension Contributions). Responsible for entering Burden Rates for Operations (PMs, HVAC Service Engineers, BAS Technicians, etc.). Update Pension contributions for all associates, reconciliation and setting up pension loans; enter maximum limits for 401k, Roth, HSA annually prior to first payroll of the year. Responsible for data and reporting for the HR database system, including EEO-1, AAP, and OSHA reporting. Cost-code invoices for Accounts Payable; redistribute Customer Events for Marketing. Post eliminations on inter-company invoices. Initiate enrollment of associates in insurance plans, monitor and account for status changes and updates until coverage ceases. Maintain and account for all company credit cards and EZ Pass accounts; and post all job specific costs and transactions to the general ledger. Supports Safety program, including all insurance events and claims, safety meetings, safety tips, and customer site updates (ISN, Avetta, etc.). Support inventory an annual basis and enter data. Responsible for keeping information confidential. Flexibility to work afterhours/weekends, as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College in accounting or human resource management and two to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Prefer experience and knowledge in using HRIS systems SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP or PHR or SPHR preferred

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
