Greenway Automotive Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Greenway Automotive is seeking a highly motivated, dependable automotive Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist assists in the process of making sure the company pays employees accurately and on time. The Payroll Specialist coordinates with Human Resources, Accounting and, various other departments to maintain employee records within multiple electronic systems. Some duties of the Payroll Specialist include: Processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll for employees across multiple states and locations. Processing wage garnishments and maintaining accurate records of employee deductions. Processing 401(k) contribution reports and HSA submissions. Monitoring and reconciling employee loan payments following each bi-weekly payroll. Preparing and reviewing monthly payroll reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll data. Responding to Employment Verification requests. Responding to payroll-related inquiries from employees, Office Managers, Controllers, and General Managers. Processing employee status and pay changes, department and store transfers, and terminations. Generating payroll and workforce reports through the payroll software for management review and decision-making. Completing miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in a similar position. Candidates must have a pleasant and helpful personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, good computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. QUALIFICATIONS
: High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress One year of relevant experience in payroll or accounting
•Preferred Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Highly professional and dependable Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor Excellent telephone skills Strong computer, typing, and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
