Full-Time Join Our Team! Pacific Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll while ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations. This position serves as a key resource for payroll administration and works closely with Human Resources, Accounting, and department leaders to support our employees. Essential Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule for multiple entities and employee groups. Review, audit, and reconcile employee timecards, payroll records, and earnings to ensure accuracy. Process new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, pay adjustments, and benefit deductions. Calculate overtime, shift differentials, PTO payouts, retroactive pay, and other payroll adjustments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, company policies, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Process wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other required deductions. Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data within payroll and HR systems. Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll, earnings, deductions, and timekeeping. Assist with payroll audits and prepare reports as requested. Partner with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure payroll changes are processed accurately and timely. Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience preferred. Experience processing payroll from start to finish. Experience with Altres Payroll and HR Symphony is highly desirable. Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll best practices. Experience processing payroll for multiple entities or unionized workforces is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment while handling sensitive information. Why Join Pacific Healthcare Group?
