Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a team in Rockford, Illinois on a Long-term Contract assignment. This position will focus on accurate payroll administration for an hourly workforce while helping maintain compliance, precision, and timely processing. The role is well suited for a detail-oriented payroll specialist who can manage sensitive information with discretion and provide dependable support during a leave coverage period.

Responsibilities:

Administer biweekly payroll for approximately 150 hourly employees, ensuring pay is processed accurately and on schedule.
Review payroll data for completeness, resolve discrepancies, and confirm employee records are properly maintained.
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including reporting tasks and preparation of required documentation.
Support payroll compliance by following applicable wage, tax, and reporting guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality when working with compensation details, employee records, and other sensitive information.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address payroll-related questions and help keep processing workflows on track.
