Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Payroll Assistant for an immediate hire in St. Charles, IL. Looking for a steady office role with competitive pay? This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with weekends off and the potential to turn into a permanent career opportunity!
PAY:
$20.00 - $24.00/hr. (based upon experience)
HOURS:
Expected shifts will be 8-hour days starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM
SCHEDULE
Expected Work will be Monday - Friday; approximately 40 hours/week
START DATE
ASAP
DURATION:
This is anticipated to be a temporary position that could turn into a temp-to-perm role.
Payroll Assistant Job Description:
We are seeking a strong, professional Payroll Assistant to confidently manage all aspects of multi-jurisdictional payroll processing and benefits administration for a large corporation with minimal training. Responsibilities include executing and validating weekly/bi-weekly gross-to-net calculations, ensuring accurate distributions and tax deductions, managing ACA compliance, reconciling General Ledger accounts, and handling employee benefits enrollment and claims resolution.
Qualifications for
Payroll Assistant:
Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
5+ years of experience processing payroll & benefits administration for multi-jurisdictional states and locals (including
KY, OH, & IN
).
5 - 7 years of hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now (including quarter-end/year-end processes, amendments, and corrections).
Highly proficient with computers and technology, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and navigating carrier websites.
Ability to maintain 100% confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive personnel information.
Must be able to perform job duties that require walking, sitting for long periods of time, reaching, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs.

Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
Applicants will be subject to a pre-employment 10-panel drug screen and a basic background screening.
