Payroll Specialist Reports to:

Payroll Manager Summary:

Compiles payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Data Compilation:

Compiles payroll data—such as hours worked and piecework information—from timecards and other records.

Data Entry:

Enters data into the computer system for the computation of wages and deductions for payroll records.

Quality Control:

Reviews computed wages and corrects errors to ensure total payroll accuracy.

Reporting:

Prepares weekly and monthly reports using Microsoft Excel.

Time Management:

Takes ownership of responsibilities to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of payroll processing.

System Onboarding:

Correctly sets up new hires in UKG to ensure they are taxed and paid accurately.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate must: Be highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Possess the ability to safely work with and maintain confidential material. Have general PC knowledge and proficiency. Have the ability to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.
