Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for weekly union and non-union payroll cycles and serves as backup for semi-monthly payroll processing in UKG Ready and Viewpoint Vista. As well as generating certified payroll reports by creating and delivering relevant, accurate, and timely information to external agencies. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily, with or without accommodation. Essential Job Functions:
Process Weekly payroll for Union and non-union employees Reporting union fringe benefits monthly (as backup) Complete weekly Certified Payroll reporting and filing for company's Certified Payroll jobs in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with Labor, State and local guidelines. Ensure that our company complies with Davis-Bacon and other related acts when required Ensure prevailing wage requirements are met and accurately reported Work with Field Teams, assuring accuracy of information when approving weekly timecards and prevailing wage requirements Coordinate with regions to identify upcoming certified payroll jobs and requirements using Viewpoint and Smartsheets Serve as a backup for the company's semi-monthly payroll processing through UKG Ready Respond to employment verification requests Maintain confidential payroll and employee information as well as data integrity within UKG Ready Maintain accurate recordkeeping of payroll documents Assist and support all internal and external audits related to payroll Maintain general office files in adherence to document retention policies Develop positive working relationships with internal and external constituents; exercising judgment when releasing employee information and utilizing sound and savvy customer service skills
Qualifications:
Experience with Certified Payroll reporting within the construction industry is preferred Must be Organized and self-motivated. Prior experience with payroll processing is required; UKG Ready experience preferred. Prior experience with Viewpoint is preferred but not required Knowledge of Davis-Bacon laws and prevailing wage is required Knowledge of LCP Tracker, Emars, and IDOL is preferred but not required To successfully perform this job, the employee should possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Be detail-oriented and conscientious The employee must also be able to foster positive teamwork relationships with fellow employees.
