| $32-$42 PER HOUR Love getting the details right and making sure everyone gets paid accurately and on time? Put your payroll expertise to work while supporting the people who care for our community! Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital (EBCH) is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and support payroll systems, reporting, and compliance. This full-time, Monday-Friday position offers the flexibility of working remotely anywhere within Minnesota while playing an important role in supporting our employees and hospital operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Process end-to-end payroll, ensuring accurate and timely pay, timekeeping, deductions, garnishments, and accruals. Maintain payroll and HRIS systems and employee data while ensuring compliance with multiple union contracts and applicable regulations. Prepare payroll reports, audits, tax filings, and year-end reporting, including W-2s. Support payroll-related financial reporting, general ledger entries, and annual audits. Provide payroll assistance to employees and leaders, including employment verifications, reporting requests, and wage data analysis.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of payroll experience, including end-to-end payroll processing. Experience configuring and maintaining payroll and HRIS systems. Strong knowledge of payroll practices, including wages, deductions, garnishments, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) compliance. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Business, Human Resources, or related education and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification are preferred.
