The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Payroll Representative is responsible for all payroll related functions and supports a fast-faced payroll department. Serves as first contact for all employee pay-related questions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare weekly in-house payroll.

Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal and state laws, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Respond to employee payroll inquiries.

Run and administer weekly warehouse reporting. Handle accounting/reporting functions. Process warehouse office supply orders.

Complete other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School or High School equivalent required

One - two years of administrative experience, preferred. Must be proficient in a PC environment (MS Word/ Excel/Outlook a plus)

Strong communication skills- both written and verbal

Strong attention to detail; planning & organizational skills

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
