We are partnering with a local manufacturing company that has been engineering, fabricating, and building equipment for the farming and logging industries for more than 50 years. Proudly manufacturing its products in the United States, this company manages the entire process in house, from CNC machining and welding to fabrication and final assembly. They are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist who knows payroll inside and out, takes pride in accuracy, and enjoys being the person employees and management can count on to get things right. Payroll professionals know this job is about more than numbers. It is about trust. What You'll Do:
You will take ownership of a busy payroll process and play an important role in making sure nearly 300 employees are paid accurately and on time. Process biweekly payroll for up to 300 employees using ADP. Manage hourly time tracking for manufacturing employees. Review timecards, hours, absences, and payroll information for accuracy before processing. Track and report employee absences and incidents. Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management. Maintain accurate payroll and employee records. Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, timekeeping, benefits, and other payroll matters. Generate reports and provide documentation for payroll and HR audits. Prepare workers' compensation payroll reports and participate in audits as required. Assist with workers' compensation documentation and claims. Support monthly benefit billing and reconciliation. Coordinate closely with HR and Accounting to ensure employee information and reporting are accurate. Provide payroll and employee data needed for compliance reporting. Investigate payroll discrepancies and resolve issues quickly and accurately. Maintain complete confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and employee information. Assist with additional payroll, HR, and administrative projects as needed. What's In It for

Have:
Strong previous payroll processing experience. Experience processing payroll for a larger employee population. This role supports up to 300 employees. Experience with ADP or similar payroll software, with ADP strongly preferred. Experience with hourly employee timekeeping, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or another industrial environment. Strong understanding of payroll documentation, reporting, deductions, and reconciliations. Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook . Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Ability to manage firm deadlines and multiple priorities. Excellent communication and employee service skills.
The Musts:
Payroll accuracy is everything. You need to be someone who notices when one number looks off and does not stop until you understand why. Ability to independently manage a biweekly payroll cycle and consistently meet firm deadlines. Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership. Comfortable communicating with employees and all levels of management. Able to handle confidential information professionally. Team oriented and willing to jump in outside of payroll when needed. Able to remain calm, focused, and accurate in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
