Payroll Specialist XSG Wayne, PA Job Details Full-time $30 - $36 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Research Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Adaptability Workday Full Job Description Payroll Specialist-Wayne (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day biweekly payroll processing for a multi-state employee population, including earnings, deductions, reporting, and payroll controls. Process tax updates, garnishments, and other payroll changes within the organization's payroll and HR systems. Review employee timecards for accuracy, ensure timely manager approvals, and assist with time-off related inquiries. Support off-cycle payroll processing, including one-time payments, bonuses, and other compensation-related transactions. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll questions, including tax, regulatory, and compensation-related inquiries. Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive payroll information while providing timely customer service. Partner with the Payroll Manager to research and resolve complex payroll issues and discrepancies. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Assist with quarterly and annual payroll tax filings and related reporting. Support periodic audits of payroll processes and records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper controls. Prepare biweekly and ad-hoc payroll reports and analysis for management and other stakeholders. Assist with internal and external payroll audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed. Track and maintain new hire compensation commitments. Support administration of employee equity compensation programs, including employee stock purchase plans and stock-based awards. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and overall efficiency. Assist with additional payroll projects and initiatives while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years of payroll experience supporting a multi-state payroll environment. Experience with Workday Payroll or another major payroll/HRIS platform strongly preferred. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance. Knowledge of employee equity programs, including ESPPs and RSUs, is highly preferred. Experience partnering with external payroll providers to ensure deadlines, accuracy, and service expectations are met. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels. Strong discretion when handling confidential employee and compensation information. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot payroll issues and recommend solutions. Customer-service oriented approach to supporting employees and resolving payroll inquiries. Flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage changing priorities and additional projects.
Pay:
$30.00 - $36.00 per hour
