Job Title:
Payroll Clerk Job Summary:
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for managing our timekeeping platforms, reviewing payroll-related data across multiple FEINs, and assisting the Finance and Human Resources departments with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has strong time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Timekeeping, Administrative Support, and Communication
- Reconcile weekly employee timecards, travel stipends, and expense reimbursements for appropriate cost coding and project allocation before final submission for Payroll approval.
- Assist with onboarding newly hired employees into the company's timekeeping system and employee access portal.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions; coordinate with supervisors to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Answer incoming office calls and route them as necessary. 2. Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and submit weekly reports for internal use.
- Assist in benefits administration and leave tracking as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
Education & Experience 2+ years of experience in Payroll, Office/Benefits Administration, or Accounting preferred Technical Skills Experience with workforce management systems and timekeeping platforms Prior experience with construction timekeeping or the Arcoro/Procore technologies a plus Skilled in Microsoft Suite and other data management tools Certifications & Requirements Background check clearance Preemployment drug screening Familiarity with labor laws and HR practices Work Environment Office-based setting with standard working hours Collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
