An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site. 7.5 hours/day

JOB SUMMARY

This position is part of a team responsible for the accountability of the payroll for all Prince William County Schools employees. The position serves as the lead payroll specialist for the payroll office. This includes knowledge of the time and leave and payroll systems in order to cross-train and serve as backup to the Kronos Administrative Coordinator. Work is performed within short time frames and strict deadlines and is normally reviewed through both external and internal audit procedures. In addition to the semi- monthly payment of employees, payroll responsibilities also include record-keeping, assisting with pay period and annual audits, and other duties as assigned.
