Responsibilities Payroll II works closely with other employees in the Payroll department in order to address all payroll issues and to prepare employee paychecks in a timely manner. Performs all required statistical and clerical duties necessary to prepare hourly, salary and commission payrolls. Checks time sheets for accuracy prior to entry, reduces gross pay by all authorized and required deductions to net pay. Edits and processes employee time records, entering the information through a PC to an automated system for processing. Makes the semi-monthly general ledger entries related to the payroll functions and runs various payroll reports. Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary. Prepares and balances payroll summaries, W2 forms, etc., as required. Prepares, sorts and distributes various payroll and miscellaneous checks (i.e. Manual payroll, 401 (k) payments, court, advances, promissory notes, 941's stop payments). Makes bank deposits as required. Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED coupled with 6+ years of experience working on payroll issues Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with
Microsoft Outlook Desired Skills:

Pay Range USD $31.38 - USD $39.23 /Hr.
