Job Description

Bank Operations Associate Reports to: Operations Department Supervisor We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Banking Operations Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support for online banking services, handling a variety of deposit operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures. You will play a key role in resolving customer issues, detecting fraud, and processing legal and financial transactions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers with online and mobile banking services, including: Remote deposit capture Bill pay Funds transfers E-statements Technical support and troubleshooting access or usability issues Handle debit card support, including inquiries, dispute investigations (check, ACH, and debit card fraud), and check order processing Manage incoming and outgoing wire transfers Process and resolve returned checks, non-sufficient funds (NSF) items, exception transactions, and perform routine account maintenance Review daily system reports to identify and address potentially fraudulent activity, account exceptions, and operational anomalies Complete asset verifications Process legal documents such as garnishments, subpoenas, and court orders Collaborate with internal departments to ensure workflow efficiency and compliance with company policies and service standards
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service Proficient computer skills, including the ability to operate standard office equipment Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills Well-developed analytical and troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and database software preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications (Not Required): Prior experience in banking operations, financial services, or customer support Familiarity with banking regulations, fraud detection, and core processing systems
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
