Job Description

Financial Planning Associate About the Role We are a growing financial planning practice, based on the Northwestern Mutual platform, seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Financial Planning Associate to support client service, financial planning implementation, insurance underwriting, investment account administration, and practice operations. This is not a sales role. We are looking for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and helping clients behind the scenes. Over time, this person will develop deep expertise in financial planning, operations, and client service. This position is based full-time in our Calabasas office. We believe working side-by-side fosters stronger collaboration, professional development, and mentorship as we continue to grow our practice together. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage insurance applications and underwriting cases
  • Assist in the opening and ongoing maintenance of investment accounts
  • Support financial plan preparation and implementation
  • Prepare client meeting materials and follow-up items
  • Maintain client records and workflows in Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Coordinate client service requests and administrative processes
  • Help improve operational efficiency and client experience
  • Communicate with clients regarding meeting coordination and various aspects of the planning process Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, and/or equivalent work experience with strong interest in financial markets
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and follow-through
  • Professional, proactive, and client-focused mindset
  • Financial services, banking, insurance, or related experience preferred Professional Development
  • Insurance licensing expected within 60 days
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 expected within 9 months
  • CFP® aspirations are strongly encouraged and will be supported Benefits
Salary Range:
$65,000 - $75,000

Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
