Position Overview A Wealth Advisor acts as a trusted fiduciary, delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment management solutions to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, families, and business owners. This role focuses on developing customized, long-term wealth strategies—spanning portfolio management, tax optimization, estate planning, and risk mitigation—while actively identifying and onboarding new clients to grow the firm's Assets Under Management (AUM). Key Responsibilities Client Relationship & Financial Advisory Serve as the primary advisor for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, conducting in-depth discovery to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and legacy objectives. Develop and implement holistic wealth plans, including retirement projections, tax-efficient distribution strategies, cash flow analysis, and executive compensation planning. Conduct structured quarterly and annual reviews to rebalance portfolios, adjust strategies for major life events, and update financial models. Portfolio & Investment Strategy Construct tailored investment portfolios using asset allocation models across public equities, fixed income, private equity, alternative investments, and real estate. Collaborate with internal research, investment committees, and portfolio managers to align strategy with macro trends and client preferences. Estate, Tax & Risk Coordination Partner with clients' external professional network (CPAs, estate attorneys, insurance specialists) to construct tax-conscious estate plans and trust structures. Identify risk exposures and recommend mitigation tactics, including life, disability, and long-term care insurance strategies. Business Development & AUM Growth Execute targeted business development efforts to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships. Build referral networks among Centers of Influence (COIs), such as estate attorneys, CPAs, and family offices. Represent the firm at industry events, networking groups, and community functions.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's/MBA preferred.
Experience:
5-8+ years of direct experience in wealth management, private banking, or financial planning managing a book of HNW clients.
Certifications & Licenses:
FINRA:
Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 65) licenses required (or ability to obtain within 90 days). Designations (Highly Preferred): Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®).
Skills:
Deep knowledge of financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, RightCapital, MoneyGuidePro) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Wealth Management). Proven track record of client acquisition, AUM growth, and high client retention rates. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relationship-building skills.
