Client Servicing Advisor (on-site) Sterling Bridge Financial Group Palm Harbor, FL Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $75,000 a year 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Financial planning Client services Customer relationship management Financial services Full Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Servicing Advisor's primary focus is to own the ongoing advisory relationship for assigned Sterling Bridge client households, allowing the Principal/Wealth Advisors to focus primarily on new business development, firm leadership, complex planning cases, and the firm's highest-value relationships. The Servicing Advisor serves as the primary advisor and relationship manager for assigned clients after they have transitioned from the Principal/Wealth Advisor. The Servicing Advisor is responsible for ensuring that every assigned client continues to receive proactive, comprehensive advice through the Sterling
R.I.G.H.T.
Process and Three Worlds of Retirement framework.
This includes ongoing evaluation of:
Ready Money and liquidity needs Retirement income Investment and growth strategy Tax-planning opportunities Healthcare and Medicare considerations Estate and legacy planning Insurance and risk-management needs Major lifestyle or family changes that could affect the retirement plan The Servicing Advisor will conduct financial analyses, prepare and update financial plans, conduct client review meetings, monitor portfolios, and make appropriate investment and planning recommendations within established firm guidelines. The Servicing Advisor is accountable for the client relationship and service outcome, while working closely with Client Service Specialists and other team members to delegate and coordinate administrative execution. A core expectation of this role is to operate proactively rather than reactively. The Servicing Advisor should continually ask: "What has changed, what could change, and what should we be addressing before it becomes a problem?" Our goal is simple: There should be no surprises in retirement.
Daily:
Client Relationship & Communication Receive incoming client calls and communications in a friendly, warm, professional manner. Serve as the primary advisory contact for assigned client households. Respond to client emails within one business day. Return client calls within one business day. Build relationships in which assigned clients view the Servicing Advisor as their advisor—not simply as a secondary contact to the Principal/Wealth Advisor. Proactively communicate with clients when market, tax, planning, family, or financial circumstances warrant a conversation. Maintain a calm, confident, educational demeanor when clients have concerns or questions. Client Records & Follow-Through Record notes from every material client conversation, including meetings, phone calls, texts, and emails, in the CRM or ensure this is completed by the appropriate Client Service team member. Ensure all recommendations, decisions, action items, and follow-up responsibilities are properly documented. Ensure CRM workflows and client records remain current and accurate. Own the completion of client action items even when administrative execution has been delegated to another team member. Client Service & Transactions Process or oversee transactions requested by clients after appropriate guidance and recommendations have been considered and discussed. Coordinate with Client Service Specialists to complete paperwork, transfers, distributions, account changes, and other administrative requests. Ensure NIGOs are corrected within one business day of receipt by the appropriate responsible team member. Escalate unusual, complex, high-risk, or strategically significant situations to the Principal/Wealth Advisor when appropriate. Planning & Portfolio Oversight Perform ongoing portfolio analysis and monitoring. Utilize firm-approved websites, planning software, custodial platforms, and research resources to obtain client and product information. Monitor assigned households for changes in risk, income needs, liquidity requirements, tax circumstances, and investment objectives. Make recommendations within established Sterling Bridge investment and planning guidelines. Weekly; Client Service Follow-Up Follow up on outstanding service work with the appropriate internal team members, custodians, insurance companies, or outside professionals. Resolve or oversee resolution of issues regarding accounts, transfers, amendments, distributions, or other client needs. Review outstanding client workflows to ensure nothing has fallen through the cracks. Identify client relationships requiring proactive outreach rather than waiting for the client to contact the firm. Appointment Preparation Complete pre-appointment preparation based on the weekly calendar. All preparation should be completed at least one business day prior to the appointment. Review the client's complete financial picture—not simply investment performance—before every strategic or annual review. Preparation should include, when applicable: Current portfolio and allocation Risk tolerance Cash and Ready Money reserves Income needs and distributions Social Security and pension strategy Tax-planning opportunities Roth conversion opportunities RMD requirements Upcoming major expenses Healthcare/Medicare considerations Insurance needs Estate planning and beneficiary status Previous meeting commitments Significant family or lifestyle changes Proactive Planning Opportunities Rather than focusing exclusively on product replacement opportunities, the Servicing Advisor should continually identify opportunities to improve the client's overall retirement plan.
These may include:
Roth conversions Tax-loss or tax-gain harvesting RMD planning Social Security optimization Retirement income adjustments Excess cash or insufficient liquidity Outdated or inappropriate annuity contracts Beneficiary issues Estate-planning gaps Trust-funding needs Insurance or long-term-care concerns Portfolio risk misalignment Concentrated investment positions Major upcoming expenditures Charitable-planning opportunities Legacy-planning opportunities The objective is not to find a product to change. The objective is to determine whether something in the client's life or financial circumstances has changed enough that the plan should change. Monthly; Client Relationship Management Review the assigned client database to ensure client records are current and all required annual services are being completed. Monitor progress toward completing annual reviews for 100% of assigned households according to the firm's service calendar. Ensure required services such as Roth conversions, annual reviews, risk-tolerance reviews, RMDs, beneficiary reviews, and other planning items are completed. Identify households that have not had meaningful contact with Sterling Bridge and determine whether proactive outreach is appropriate. Service & Operational Oversight Review outstanding client-service issues and transfer timelines. Provide issue/transfer-time reports to the appropriate advisor or leadership team as requested. Ensure CRM workflows are accurate and completed. Support firm compliance requirements. Identify recurring service problems and recommend process improvements rather than repeatedly solving the same problem manually. Planning Opportunity Review Review assigned households for upcoming planning opportunities over the next 30-90 days. Coordinate with tax, estate, Medicare, insurance, investment, and Client Service team members when additional expertise or execution is required. Bring significant opportunities, risks, or complex cases to the Principal/Wealth Advisor before they become urgent.
