Build a Career in Financial Planning Martin Wealth Solutions is looking for an organized, client-focused professional who wants to begin or advance a career in financial and healthcare planning. In this position, you will support financial advisors during initial client meetings, organize client information, prepare follow-up materials, and help make sure important details do not fall through the cracks. You will also receive training and licensing support to help clients navigate Medicare and related health-insurance decisions.
What You'll Do:
Financial Planning and Advisor Support Attend initial advisor-client meetings and capture complete, well-organized notes. Document clients' goals, concerns, financial information, and follow-up needs. Enter accurate notes, tasks, and supporting information into the firm's CRM and planning systems. Prepare client fact summaries, identify missing information, and organize documents or data needed by the advisor. Assist advisors with meeting preparation, follow-up items, and planning-related workflows. Track commitments and help ensure that client and advisor action items are completed promptly. Medicare and Insurance Support Complete employer-supported training, licensing, and annual Medicare certifications. Follow up with existing clients and qualified prospects who may need Medicare guidance. Once appropriately licensed and certified, educate clients about Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Part D, and related coverage options. Use approved quoting and enrollment systems to compare options and assist clients with applications. Track applications, carrier requirements, follow-up activity, and outstanding issues through completion. Assist with Medicare educational webinars, client communications, and outreach campaigns. Conduct limited outbound prospect follow-up as the Medicare program grows. Curious, coachable, and interested in learning about financial planning and Medicare. Comfortable working with pre-retirees and retirees. Detail-oriented and dependable about following through. Comfortable learning new technology and working within established processes. Able to handle sensitive client information with discretion and sound judgment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated attention to detail, organization, and professional follow-through. Ability and willingness to obtain the required insurance license and Medicare certifications within the timeframe established by the firm. Ability to work primarily onsite in our Christiansburg office and travel regularly to our Roanoke office for client meetings. Sales Experince Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client and firm information. Preferred but Not Required One to three years of experience in sales, financial services, insurance, healthcare, banking, or another professional service environment. Associate's or bachelor's degree in financial planning, finance, business, communications, healthcare administration, or a related field. Experience using CRM software, documenting meetings, managing workflows, or communicating with clients by phone. An existing insurance license or familiarity with Medicare. Previous Medicare experience is not required. We are prepared to train the right person. Training and Career Development Martin Wealth Solutions will provide structured on-the-job training and access to approved licensing and certification resources. The firm will pay approved costs associated with the required initial insurance licensing and Medicare certifications. As you develop, this position may grow toward deeper planning support, paraplanning, client service, or insurance responsibilities based on your abilities, interests, licensing, and the firm's needs. Work Location and Schedule This position will be based primarily in our Christiansburg office. Regular travel to our Roanoke office will be required to attend client meetings and collaborate with advisors and other members of the team. Martin Wealth Solutions maintains a work-from-work culture, and this position is expected to be performed primarily onsite. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for educational events, webinars, community events, or periods of increased Medicare activity. Occasional additional local or overnight travel may also be required.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
