NUS provide commercial and industrial organizations with a wide range of value-added services, including invoice processing and payment support, cloud-based energy information systems, procurement, risk management, budgeting, and carbon emissions monitoring, reporting, and compliance. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Analyst. Analysts are primarily responsible for the audit, analysis and procurement of energy costs on behalf of NUS' client base Responsibilities include auditing client's bills to identify potential overcharges, analyzing alternative utility rate options to reduce client's costs and interacting with suppliers and clients in the procurement process to obtain more cost-effective energy sources in deregulated markets. Analysts are also responsible for the development of budgets for clients and research into changes in utility regulations and market prices.
Essential Functions:
Analyzing client utility data (., electricity, gas, water, sewer, oil, steam bills and contracts) for existing and new clients, Developing, maintaining, and using proprietary analytical tools (i.e., computer programs) and or other tools to analyze client's utility data and utility tariff rates/applications, Creating templates in Excel for purposes of analyzing utility data, Accessing data through NUS' proprietary databases (., Verity and RPD), Using and expanding the use and benefit derived from third-party vendor services (i.e., Rate Acuity, CCH Sales Tax, and Refinitive) Formulating written reports detailing cost savings and recovery opportunities and support for procurement recommendations, Evaluating and understanding utility tariffs and pricing, Monitoring developments in energy markets, Developing and cultivating relationships with utilities, public service commissions, alternative energy suppliers, etc., Collaborating with Consultants, as needed, on pending recommendations and procurement tasks, Assisting, as necessary, in pursuing and implementing cost savings/recovery opportunities, Assisting in the preparation of pricing surveys, Participating in Analyst Department tasks and projects as needed,
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not a requirement
