2951935617-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Risk Specialist to support our Risk Management & Compliance department. This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating clinical and operational risks across our healthcare network. You will conduct incident reviews, collaborate with clinical leaders on corrective action plans, support regulatory compliance, and promote patient safety initiatives. Responsibilities Monitor, analyze, and trend incident reports, near misses, and safety events to identify patterns and emerging clinical risks. Support and facilitate root cause analyses (RCA) and other structured investigations following significant events, documenting findings and action plans. Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to design and implement risk mitigation strategies and performance improvement initiatives. Advise providers and staff on informed consent, disclosure of unanticipated outcomes, and risk-sensitive clinical and documentation practices. Assist in ensuring compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to patient safety and risk management. Contribute to the development, review, and revision of policies and procedures with risk and safety implications. Provide education and training on risk management principles, event reporting, and safety culture to clinical and non-clinical staff. Partner with Quality, Patient Safety, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams to support a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous improvement. Participate in safety rounds, huddles, and committee work, sharing data-driven insights and recommendations. Support management of patient complaints, grievances, and potential claims by gathering facts, documentation, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
