Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session. We have a terrific opportunity for you to make an impact at EchoStar, leading and developing a team of cybersecurity risk professionals. You'll be responsible for directing projects and initiatives that pro-actively identify and treat risks, translating technical concepts into business impact for C-suite reporting. What Success Looks Like Lead and develop a high-performing team of cybersecurity risk analysts while fostering continuous learning and risk mitigation excellence Oversee the end-to-end risk lifecycle, building dynamic and scalable structures to assess, mitigate, and report security risks consistently Direct the third-party risk management strategy, conducting vendor due diligence and evaluating ecosystem security controls Deploy artificial intelligence solutions to automate governance risk compliance processes, improve predictive threat detection, and streamline risk reporting Deliver executive risk dashboards and business-impact narratives that translate complex technical data for cross-functional leadership Partner across internal departments, including Legal, Procurement, and Executive Leadership, to integrate risk management directly into operational strategies
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Core Skills and Competencies Expertise in leading end-to-end enterprise cybersecurity risk programs and managing cross-functional risk initiatives Strong capabilities in utilizing GRC frameworks, including
NIST CSF, ISO
27001, and SOC2, for scalable risk governance Proven ability to apply AI technology, predictive intelligence, and automation to minimize manual tasks and elevate risk detection capabilities Strategic leadership experience managing third-party risk management ecosystems and conducting comprehensive vendor evaluations Advanced technical acumen in identifying, assessing, and mitigating complex technical cybersecurity vulnerabilities Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills to influence stakeholders and translate technical risk into business impact Additional Qualifications Master's degree or MBA in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a business-related discipline Active professional certifications such as
CISSP, CISM, or CRISC Minimum Requirements Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum Experience:
8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Information Security, with 6+ years in a management or leadership role
Required Technical Skills:
Must have experience with: Cybersecurity frameworks including
NIST CSF, ISO
27001, and SOC2 Risk assessment methodologies and enterprise GRC tools AI integration in GRC processes and predictive risk analytics Visa sponsorship not available for this role

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
