Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Secretary to the Director of Risk Management to join our team. This vital role provides comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of risk management initiatives and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional office management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality. Duties Assists Director of Risk Management/Safety Officer in carrying out the services of the department Prepare, review, and organize documentation related to employee identification badges, safety reports, and employee training records Maintain accurate records using data entry skills, including filing, document management, and database update Conducts correspondence and maintains and coordinates correspondence on matters where policies and procedures are defined, or with the general input of the Director Serve as front desk receptionist, greeting visitors, managing office supplies, and ensuring a welcoming environment May coordinate and supervise the maintenance of departmental account keeping records, time and attendance records and the preparation of payrolls Handle confidential information with integrity while supporting office management and administrative functions May review mail and process various requests and claims Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with strong computer literacy skills Experience with office management tasks including filing systems, data entry, and clerical support Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment Strong customer service orientation with professional phone etiquette and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism This role is perfect for a motivated individual eager to develop their career in risk management while providing essential administrative assistance.
Minimum Qualifications Either:
Possession of a Bachelor's or higher level degree, and one (1) year of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, progressively responsible clerical work experience which involved responsibility for administrative details; OR Possession of an Associate's degree and three (3) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, work experience as defined in A above; OR Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, work experience as defined in A above; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A, B and C above.

$42.81 per hour
