Summary The Payment Solutions Specialist is responsible for completing and filing all paperwork received from members filing bankruptcy against the credit union or applying for loan work out plans. Maintain open lines of communication between credit union, credit union attorney and management.

• This position is an ONSITE position located at our Clawson branch!

• Primary Responsibilities Maintain collection files according to department procedures Process all bankruptcy paperwork, copy loan documents for attorney, update collection software, file maintenance all required fields and forward information to attorney in a timely manner. Update all responses or notes from attorney in our collection software. Maintain a familiarity with all loan products and rates. Ability to multi-task through multiple online platforms, including processing payments. Follow up with all accounts that are discharged or dismissed and determine course of action. Change rate/payment according to Trustee plan or consent judgment. Complete bankruptcy checklist. Prepare various reports for management. Keeps management informed of various status/actions on accounts. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations applicable to the collection of delinquent/bankrupt members. Periodically review charge offs for potential collection activities. Successfully collect on delinquent and charge-off accounts. Assist with repossessions and paperwork. Assist with filing disability, death, and unemployment claims through 3rd party vendor. BSA Compliance This job requires an understanding of and compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, the

USA PATRIOT

Act, and related credit union policies and procedures, including the 10/2/2026 Job Description reporting of suspicious activity, including insider abuse, as directed. The role includes the management and support of subordinate team members' responsibilities in these areas. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Job Knowledge Policy Compliance Productivity Knowledge of fair debt collection law is preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in collections is preferred. Must be computer literate. Must be able to use Microsoft suite of products Must be dependable with a high level of adaptability Strong attention to detail Positive, constructive, empathetic, and supportive attitude toward the membership Proven experience in conflict resolution, maintaining confidentiality, and communication skills. Willingness to work in a team environment. Completion of all required compliance and information security training annually. Working Conditions Ability to lift 10-15 pounds.
