Job Title Senior Tax Manager Job Post Summary Seeking an experienced public accounting tax professional to take on a management and leadership role. The position will oversee tax staff, manage workflow and deadlines, review and prepare individual and business tax returns, handle complex tax matters, support tax planning, strengthen client relationships, and work with firm leadership to improve productivity and operations. Job Roles and Responsibilities Manage supervise and mentor tax staff Assign and monitor tax work and deadlines Manage overall tax workflow and resolve bottlenecks Improve processes efficiency and staff productivity Review tax returns and provide technical guidance Prepare and review individual tax returns Prepare and review business tax returns Handle complex tax issues and tax planning Respond to client tax questions and provide guidance Develop and maintain strong client relationships Train and develop junior tax professionals Partner with firm leadership on staffing workflow and operational decisions Take ownership of department performance and accountability Qualifications and Certifications Minimum 5 years of public accounting tax experience Strong individual and business tax preparation and review experience Previous tax staff supervision or management experience preferred Strong technical tax knowledge Experience with tax planning and complex tax issues Experience with UltraTax and Thomson Reuters software QuickBooks experience Microsoft Office proficiency CPA license preferred or actively pursuing Strong leadership organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Client relationship management experience Demonstrated ability to improve processes and productivity Benefits Tax season bonus Health insurance Retirement or pension benefits Flexible work environment Flexible schedule Growth and advancement opportunities Supportive team oriented culture Work life balance
