We are a growing Monmouth County, NJ, CPA Firm providing accounting and tax preparation services as well as a broad range of services. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of staff accountant for the preparation of individual and business tax returns and accounting . This is a full-time seasonal position for the upcoming tax season with the potential for continued part-time employment during the rest of the year. Positions require a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years' experience in public accounting and/or tax fields. Completion of tax related courses such as the H&R Block tax program, college tax programs, or professional tax CPE are a plus. Essential requirements and responsibilities of this position include:

• Primarily responsible for preparation of 1040 tax returns
• Additionally responsible for preparation of accounting and tax returns for S corporations, C corporations and partnerships
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to handle simultaneous projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Preferred skills for this position include:
• Working knowledge of UltraTax and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of tax research software such as CCH, BNA, RIA, and PPC Compensation is commensurate with experience.
