Job Description

Basic Function:
This position greets customers andpotential customers and provides friendly, professional service to FirstCommunity Bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions followingdocumented policy and procedure to prevent loss to the bank.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
  • Deliverconsistent, high quality service to internal and external customers andmaintain strict confidentiality in all bank matters.
  • Followingestablished procedures accurately process: deposits/withdrawals for checking and savings accounts, check cashing,loan payments, fund transfers and inquiries regarding balance or transactionhistory.
  • Maintainknowledge of teller handbook regarding policies and procedures related toteller operations (ex: fee structure,NSF, stop payment, etc.)
  • Know andunderstand the features and benefits of bank products/services and activelylook for need based referral opportunities.
  • Promptly andsuccessfully complete all compliance training as determined by the compliancedepartment.
  • Process nightdeposits and mail deposits.
  • Explain,promote and sell products including cashier's checks.
  • Redeem U.S.Savings Bonds.
  • Process cashadvances for credit card customers.
  • Effectivelyorganize and plan workflow to perform job functions in a timely manner.
  • Resolvecustomer problems either through personal action or referral to other bankstaff.
  • Preparecurrency and coin orders for commercial customers.
  • Using coincounting machine process coins for customers.
  • Attenddepartment and company meetings/training which may be outside of regularlyscheduled work hours.
  • Perform anyother related duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellentcustomer service skills
  • Typing/alphanumeric data entry
  • 10 keycalculator
  • Ability tolift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability tosit/stand for extended periods
  • Ability towork with a high degree of accuracy
Training and Experience:
  • High schooldiploma or GED required
  • Cash handlingor sales experience preferred
