Overview :

As one of the initial points of contact for in branch service, the MSR is to provide prompt, efficient, accurate and individualized service to all CU members. A successful MSR is an effective listener, has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates teamwork and executes daily ethical business practices.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Member Service Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner. Be familiar with item negotiability and teller transactions including but not limited to loan payments, cash deposits and withdrawals, school deposits, and cash advances. File maintenance accounts as requested for change of address, email, telephone contacts, or other requests. Promote negotiable items for sale such as gift cards, official checks or money orders. Maintain ongoing knowledge of all products and services, and other member resources. Identify cross-selling opportunities by listening to member queues then having the ability to be consultative in offering solutions. Participate in community events that serve current and future Thinkwise members. Operations Assist Branch Manager or designee with armored courier and/or ATM deposits. Team-Player with the branch opening and closing processes. May be designee for review of monthly reports. Attend departmental and staff meetings. Other duties as assigned. Compliance Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies and procedures. Maintain thorough knowledge of regulations related but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Regulation CC and Member Identification Program (MIP), Safeguard member information both during and after business hours. Adhere to daily limits associated with cash drawer, deposits, withdrawals, and fee reversals. Other duties as assigned. Development Collaborate with Branch Manager towards meeting individual and collective goals. Collaborate in an industry that believes in the philosophy of "people helping people." Work Environment and Physical Demands This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
