Job Overview Join our dynamic credit union team as a Teller and Customer Service Representative, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face of our credit union, handling daily financial transactions, providing expert guidance on banking products, and fostering strong relationships with our clients. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth operations, promote financial literacy, and contribute to the growth of our community-focused bank. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in financial services while making a meaningful impact. Responsibilities Process a variety of cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and guiding clients through banking products and services. Promote and upsell banking products such as loans, credit cards, savings accounts, and investment options to meet client needs and achieve sales goals. Manage customer relationships through proactive engagement, relationship management strategies, and personalized service to foster loyalty. Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and adhering to industry compliance standards. Assist with loan origination processes by gathering necessary documentation, processing loan applications, and explaining terms clearly to clients. Utilize banking software and Microsoft Office tools to maintain accurate records, process transactions efficiently, and generate reports as needed. Skills Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on building trust and rapport. Knowledge of credit union regulations, financial compliance standards, and industry best practices for fraud prevention. Proficiency in banking software systems, Microsoft Office applications, and cash handling procedures. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations. Ability to handle cash drawer operations confidently while ensuring compliance with cash management policies. Effective communication skills to explain complex financial products clearly and professionally. Industry knowledge of financial services regulations combined with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in loan processing and transaction handling. Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 - 40.0 per week
