Teller Job Summary:

Farmers State Bank of Blue Mound is hiring a Bank Teller for our new Osawatomie location. We are looking for someone who will provide exceptional customer service while efficiently handling everyday banking transactions. Their enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster trust and satisfaction among our clients. As a vital part of our financial services team, they assist customers with their banking needs, process transactions accurately, and promote our range of banking products and services. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop skills in banking operations and personal customer engagement. This position will report to the local Branch President, and their primary working location would be Osawatomie, Kansas, although periodically traveling to the other branches of the bank is expected (Blue Mound, Garnett, and Pleasanton).

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service with a positive attitude Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and other financial transactions accurately using banking software Assist customers with account inquiries, new account openings, and basic loan information Promote bank products such as savings accounts, loans, and other services to meet customer needs Maintain cash drawer accuracy through precise counting and balancing at shift end Follow security procedures to ensure safe handling of cash and sensitive information

Required Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process financial transactions and balance cash. Comfortable operating a computer, telephone, scanner, currency counter, and other standard office equipment. Takes ownership of customer needs and follows through. Maintains composure and professionalism during difficult customer interactions. Represents the bank positively in the community. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive customer and bank information. Ability to recognize and appropriately escalate potential fraud, suspicious activity, counterfeit currency, or other unusual transactions.
