Founded in 1907 and headquartered in Massachusetts, we proudly serve individuals, families, and businesses throughout New England with a strong emphasis on personal relationships, local decision‑making, and community impact. With a broad range of banking, wealth management, and investment solutions, Rockland Trust combines the resources of a growing financial institution with the personalized service of a community bank. Our long‑standing philosophy— Where Each Relationship Matters® —guides how we work with our customers, colleagues, and communities every day. At Rockland Trust, our employees are at the heart of our success. We foster a collaborative, inclusive, and values‑driven culture that encourages professional growth, innovation, and work‑life balance. We are deeply committed to community involvement, financial education, and creating a workplace where individuals can build meaningful, long‑term careers. In this customer-facing role, you'll provide friendly, accurate service by processing transactions, answering questions, and helping connect customers with solutions that meet their needs. Your ability to build relationships and create a positive experience will contribute to both customer satisfaction and branch success. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping people, thrive in a dynamic environment, and want to build valuable customer service, relationship-building, and financial services experience. What You'll Do 1. Welcome customers as they enter the branch, creating a positive first impression and connecting them with the colleague best equipped to assist them. 2. Provide friendly, efficient customer service in person and over the phone. 3. Help customers understand available banking products and services and identify solutions that meet their needs. 4. Process a variety of financial transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing. 5. Build relationships with customers by delivering a personalized and supportive experience. 6. Work closely with your manager and branch team to address customer needs and support branch goals. 7. Complete Rockland Trust's Teller Training Program and continue developing your banking and customer service knowledge. 8. Provide support across multiple branch locations within your assigned region as business needs require. Mileage reimbursement is provided for any distance outside of your normal commute. 9. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 3. Ability to travel between branch locations as needed. 4. Comfort using computers and technology to support customer service and daily responsibilities. 5. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others. 6. Professional demeanor and appearance. 7. Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with customers and team members. 8. Ability to stand for extended periods and provide continuous customer support throughout the day. 9. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 10. Flexibility to work a schedule that may include weekends based on business needs. 11. Ability to successfully complete Rockland Trust's Teller Training Program. 12. Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training within established timeframes. Preferred Qualifications 1. 1-2 years of teller experience and/or cash handling experience. 2. Experience delivering exceptional customer service and building customer relationships. No banking experience? No problem. We welcome candidates with customer service, retail, hospitality, or other service-focused backgrounds and provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. Benefits & Culture Our goal is to offer our colleagues the most generous benefits package possible. We provide a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support your health, financial security, and overall, well‑being.
