Responsibilities Process cash transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, ensuring cash drawer balancing and security. Provide personalized member service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering tailored banking solutions. Promote and upsell banking products and services such as loans, credit cards, and savings accounts to meet members' financial needs. Manage member relationships by identifying opportunities for relationship management and cross-selling relevant financial products. Detect and prevent fraud by adhering to security protocols and monitoring suspicious activity during transactions. Utilize banking software and Microsoft Office tools to record transactions, update account information, and generate reports. Maintain knowledge of banking regulations, financial compliance standards, and industry best practices to ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements. Coordinate with other departments and refer members to departments/personnel providing specialized services as necessary. Obtain an up-to-date comprehensive knowledge and abide by all credit union related policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, Know your Member, robbery, safety and security procedures, follow all credit union policies and procedures. Attends and participates in meetings as required, completes continuing education as required. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service within a retail or financial environment is preferred. Strong understanding of banking products, financial sales techniques, and industry regulations. Proficiency with banking software, Microsoft Office applications, and basic math skills including retail math and cash handling procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and manage customer relationships effectively. Ability to process cash transactions accurately using 10 key typing skills and perform basic math calculations swiftly. Knowledge of fraud prevention strategies, financial compliance standards, and banking regulatory requirements is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to handle cash drawer operations securely while maintaining attention to detail in processing debits & credits. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
