Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Controller will lead the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions while supporting business performance through strong financial controls, project accounting oversight, and timely reporting. This individual will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, improving reporting processes, and supporting the continued growth of a complex, project-driven business. Key Responsibilities Oversee corporate accounting, monthly close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. Lead project accounting processes, including revenue recognition, job cost reporting, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and profitability analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, internal controls, and corporate governance standards. Manage audits, financial statement preparation, and relationships with external auditors and tax advisors. Partner with operational leaders to improve project performance visibility, forecasting accuracy, and financial accountability. Develop and mentor accounting teams while improving processes, systems, and reporting efficiency. Support budgeting, cash flow analysis, KPI reporting, and strategic initiatives led by executive leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including experience within construction, engineering, specialty contracting, industrial services, or other project-based organizations. Strong knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting, project costing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. Experience managing audits, internal controls, and multi-entity accounting environments. Proven ability to lead teams and support a growing, fast-paced organization.
