The Director, Finance is the financial leader for the Engineered Cables business and is responsible for financial strategy, integrated business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and results analysis. This high-visibility role partners with Aptiv's executive leadership to guide long-term financial direction, optimize capital allocation, strengthen global operational performance, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Core Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning Lead long-range financial planning, strategic scenario modeling, and capital allocation for the Engineered Cables business. Translate business strategy into financial targets, operating plans, and performance metrics and evaluate strategic initiatives, footprint optimization, and major investments. Direct annual plans, monthly forecasts, and multi-year financial models and deliver executive-ready reporting on trends, risks, and opportunities. Lead financial partnership with Operations to evaluate productivity, labor efficiency, direct-material purchases, throughput, scrap, and cost reduction. Oversee financial evaluation of capacity expansion, make-versus-buy analysis, global footprint decisions, pricing strategy, product margins, and cost competitiveness. Controls, Working Capital & Leadership Ensure accurate and timely month-end close and maintain internal controls aligned with corporate policies and US GAAP. Manage working capital by influencing receivables, payables, and inventory. Support ERP implementation and maintenance and ensure consistent reporting across global sites and functions. Build high-caliber talent through coaching, succession planning, and organizational design. Comply with all company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
Experience:
12-15+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate-finance experience, including significant manufacturing experience and leadership of multi-site or global FP&A teams.
Regulatory Compliance:
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR requirements.
Technical Qualifications:
Expertise in analytics, forecasting, financial modeling, operations finance, financial accounting, US GAAP, working capital, and ERP-supported reporting.
Certifications & Competencies:
Systems Proficiency:
Google Workspace, ADP, Syspro, QMS, Planful, Power BI, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Core Competencies:
Executive partnership, strategic insight, leadership, communication, relationship building, independent issue resolution, constructive curiosity, and technology orientation.

Total Rewards & Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000 per year plus a 20% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Exact compensation will depend on experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
