This is not a clerk position. We are hiring the person who runs the business office at LA City Cars and owns every dollar that moves through it. If you have run a dealership office before, you already know the job: contracts in transit funded fast, schedules clean, deals posted, titles moving, refunds collected, payroll right, and a controller who is never surprised at month end. You also know most stores let these things slide. We are paying for the person who will not let that happen here. LA City Cars is part of Northeast Auto Holdings, a twelve store dealership group with franchise and preowned stores in California, Pennsylvania, New York, South Carolina, and Florida. The group is growing. The person who takes this office works directly with the corporate Controller and with ownership. What you will own Contracts in transit. The CIT list is yours every day. You know the status of every unfunded deal, who is holding it up, and what it takes to fund it. You push desk, finance, and lenders until the money is in the bank, and you report CIT status to ownership every week. Schedules. Every accounting schedule stays clean and current: CIT, vehicle receivables, floorplan, factory and warranty receivables, we owes, deposits, and cash. Nothing sits aged without a reason and a plan. Money that gets lost. Product cancellation refunds, rebates, lender fee corrections, chargebacks, holdbacks, unposted deals, and aged receivables. If a dollar is owed to the store, you are the one making sure it comes in. Deal flow. Deals posted correctly and on time. Titles in and out. DMV work moving. Unwinds handled cleanly. Floorplan paid off on time so we never pay a fee we did not need to. The office. You run the business office staff: title, posting, payables, payroll processing, and HR paperwork. You set deadlines, follow up, and hold people to them. New hires, terminations, and pay changes are processed correctly the first time. The Controller. You work with the corporate Controller every day. You bring problems forward before month end, not after. You support the close, reconcile accounts, and make sure the financial statement reflects what actually happened. Order. You build the routines, checklists, and reporting that make this office run without anyone standing over it. What we need from you Dealership business office experience is required: Office Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller at a franchise or independent store. You can read a dealer financial statement and explain the schedules behind it. You understand F&I funding, lender stips, floorplan, title processing, and DMV from the accounting side. Dealer DMS experience. Autosoft is a plus. You are assertive. You give direction, you follow up, and you are comfortable telling a sales manager or finance manager what you need and when you need it. You do not wait to be told. You see the problem, you own it, and you report what you did about it. Organized, detail driven, and able to prove it with results from your last store. What you get $90,000 to $130,000 per year depending on experience Real authority over the office and a direct line to the Controller and ownership A growing group that needs more people like this and promotes the ones who deliver How to apply Apply with your resume and tell us the size of the store you ran, your average CIT days, and what you did to bring them down. Candidates who answer the screening questions with real numbers go to the front of the line.
