SUMMARY:
The Sr. Functional Controller will create visibility on and analyze the operational and financial performance of its assigned s), as well as provide recommendations to the management team to enhance overall performance. The Sr. Functional Controller will collaborate with local internal functions to ensure transparency and accuracy of information, develop/enhance management reports, monitor/control achievement of financial goals, support decision-making, implement key projects/initiatives, and foster financial awareness, ESSENTIAL DUTIES &;
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for reporting, analyzing, and explaining operational and financial information (e.g. volume, revenue, costs, expenses, investments) for assigned s).
Design and implement methodologies and management reports to enhance operational and financial performance visibility and accuracy.
Act as a business partner for assigned s), supporting informed and data-driven decision making, identifying/defining needs and strategies to enhance financial performance, and supporting target setting for overall planning processes.
Responsible for providing functional inputs for overall financial planning (e.g. budget, forecast, strategic plan, etc.) and for supporting assigned s) in the development of functional budgets.
Develop and monitor cost control/optimization measures for assigned s).
Coordinate information/action needs regarding its assigned s) with other departments in Finance.
Promote financial awareness within the assigned s), including coaching and training of colleagues.
Act as gatekeeper for its assigned s) business' major spend categories, including the review and approval/rejection of purchases in alignment with the company's approval matrix.
Conduct business case analyses on investment proposals and make recommendations to Finance leadership.
Participate in cross-functional teams through providing a financial perspective.
Provide support to other Finance teams and assigned s) in audit-related topics.
Collaborate with assigned s) and with the IT department to ensure data integrity.
Implement and further develop operational processes and internal controls for the s) in scope, including the development/update of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance of processes and procedures related to its scope of work.
Support overall digitalization and automation of processes/reports related to its scope of work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting, business or related field required
Master's degree in engineering, finance, business or related field is a plus
10+ years of related work experience
5+ years of work experience in Logistics is a plus
In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles is required
Strong Excel skills are required
Proficiency with SAP is a plus
Proficiency with PowerBI is a plus
Proficiency with SQL/Python is a plus
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Demonstrated effectiveness at reading, understanding, and impacting financial and operational information.
Demonstrated experience in independently building financial and operational models and reporting structures from the ground up.
Demonstrated strong business acumen and data-driven decision making.
Ability to independently engage stakeholders in identifying and resolving complex business problems in a timely manner.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels in organization including regular communication with senior business leaders and Executive Committee members.
Demonstrated effectiveness in "managing by influence" those of higher title and in different functional groups.
Strong problem solving and organization skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
Strong project management skills in development, coordination and management of project plans.

Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
Regular sitting at workstation for 25 - 75% of the work shift.
