Key Responsibilities & Essential DutiesFinancial Leadership & Strategic Planning Core Financial Oversight:

Direct all core financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, economic analysis, and financial reporting.

Executive Advisory:

Serve as a strategic financial advisor to executive leadership, providing actionable insights on construction projects, land development opportunities, and major capital investments.

Strategic Business Partnering:

Collaborate cross-functionally with construction, land development, operations, and sales teams to align financial processes with overarching organizational objectives.

System Efficiency & Scalability:

Evaluate, implement, and optimize scalable systems, tools, and financial reporting processes to maximize operational efficiency.

Project Finance, Modeling & Cost Control Development Financial Leadership:

Deliver comprehensive financial leadership on multi-phase development projects, maintaining strict cost controls, margin analysis, and capital planning.

Financial Modeling & ROI Analysis:

Build and maintain detailed project-specific ROI analyses, business case evaluations, and risk assessments to guide strategic decisions.

Capital & Cash Management:

Oversee organizational cash flow, working capital, and departmental budgets while supporting financing strategies, debt structuring, and banking relationships.

Insurance Procurement & Risk Management Enterprise Risk Management:

Act as the organization's Risk Manager for Property and Casualty policies, Liability policies, and overall risk mitigation across all entities and lines of business.

Insurance Procurement:

Oversee the procurement of corporate insurance, maintaining deep market knowledge and negotiating directly with national insurance brokerage firms to ensure optimal coverage.

Governance, Compliance & Team Leadership Board & Stakeholder Reporting:

Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.

Compliance & Internal Controls:

Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, internal policies, and legal requirements.

Team Development:

Manage, mentor, and inspire the finance and accounting team, building a high-performing culture rooted in accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Standards & Safety:

Perform all responsibilities in strict adherence to OTOW standards, applicable company policies, and workplace safety guidelines while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. Qualifications & Position RequirementsEducation & Credentials Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or a related field ( Master's or MBA strongly preferred ). CPA designation preferred. Experience 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience. Minimum of 5 years specifically within the construction and/or land development industries. Required experience in high-volume, production homebuilding environments , with a proven track record in construction operations, job costing, cost control, and margin management.

Skills & Competencies Industry Expertise:

Deep knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, project budgeting, real estate development cycles, and national insurance markets.

Financial Modeling:

Demonstrated success in building and managing complex financial models and dashboards for multi-phase residential development projects.

Systems Proficiency:

Hands-on proficiency with industry-standard ERP and financial platforms (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar systems).

Leadership & Communication:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence decisions and collaborate across diverse departments and executive teams.
