Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Controller to support a long-term contract assignment in northwest Georgia. This position will lead day-to-day accounting operations while strengthening financial reporting, cash visibility, and overall process discipline. The ideal candidate brings strong QuickBooks and Excel expertise, along with the ability to work independently and improve coordination across purchasing, inventory, and finance. This is a Contract position with regular hours and flexibility for an on-site or hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee core accounting activities and bring greater accuracy, structure, and consistency to financial records and reporting.
  • Enhance the use of QuickBooks so it can better support general ledger activity, accounts payable processes, and dependable financial information.
  • Review imported inventory transactions and ensure related costs and payables are recorded completely and correctly.
  • Build and maintain cash flow forecasts that improve planning, liquidity visibility, and short-term financial decision-making.
  • Partner with purchasing and inventory teams to align buying activity with financial oversight and inventory needs.
  • Identify process gaps that contribute to excess stock or shortages and implement stronger controls to improve balance and coordination.
  • Prepare timely financial reports that give leadership a clearer view of business performance and cash position.
  • Take ownership of accounting operations with limited daily direction and help establish durable financial controls and procedures.
