Position Overview Paul Davis Restoration of South Atlanta is seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented, and performance-driven Controller to lead our financial operations and accounting team. This role serves as a key leader within the organization and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing company financial health, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience within construction, restoration, or project-based industries and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and reports
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain clean, accurate financial records
Oversee job cost accounting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
Monitor project/job costing to ensure profitability and accurate financial tracking
Support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Manage cash flow forecasting and daily banking activities
Ensure timely filing of taxes, licenses, and compliance reporting
Maintain vendor compliance documentation and internal controls
Lead and support accounting team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement Qualifications
5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
Construction, restoration, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of job costing and WIP reporting
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and confidentiality
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred What We Offer
