Position Overview Paul Davis Restoration of South Atlanta is seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented, and performance-driven Controller to lead our financial operations and accounting team. This role serves as a key leader within the organization and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing company financial health, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience within construction, restoration, or project-based industries and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and reports
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain clean, accurate financial records
  • Oversee job cost accounting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
  • Monitor project/job costing to ensure profitability and accurate financial tracking
  • Support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and daily banking activities
  • Ensure timely filing of taxes, licenses, and compliance reporting
  • Maintain vendor compliance documentation and internal controls
  • Lead and support accounting team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement Qualifications
  • 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
  • Construction, restoration, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of job costing and WIP reporting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred What We Offer
