Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, hybrid role based in Westfield, IN, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger entries, month-end and year-end closing processes, and preparation of accurate financial statements. The Financial Controller will handle budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. Daily responsibilities include reconciling accounts, reviewing invoices and expense reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and coordinating with external auditors as needed. The role will also involve working closely with leadership to analyze financial performance, implement process improvements, and support growth across the commercial, residential, and multi-family divisions. Qualifications Strong accounting foundation, including experience with Accounting principles and preparation of Financial Statements. Demonstrated Finance and Financial Reporting skills to support budgeting, forecasts, and management reports. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable financial insights. Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, spreadsheets, and financial modeling tools. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus. Experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior accounting/finance role, preferably in construction, roofing, or related industries. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both field and office teams. Commitment to ethical financial practices and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
