The Parish of the Holy Eucharist is seeking a Director of Finance & Administrative Operations to serve as a key member of the parish leadership team. Reporting directly to the Pastor, this position provides oversight of the parish's financial and administrative functions while supporting the mission and ministry of the Church. The successful candidate will be a collaborative professional with strong financial, organizational, and interpersonal skills who is committed to responsible stewardship and service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee the parish's financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination. Prepare financial analyses and reports for the Pastor, Finance Council, and parish leadership to support informed decision-making. Direct the day-to-day operations of the parish office, ensuring efficient administrative processes and effective use of parish management systems. Administer human resource functions, including payroll, employee records, benefits administration, hiring support, and compliance with diocesan policies and employment regulations. Supervise business office staff and office volunteers while fostering a welcoming, professional, and service-oriented environment. Serve as a liaison with diocesan offices, financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Five to ten years of experience in finance, accounting, business, or administrative management preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, payroll, financial reporting, and office administration. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and its mission required. Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
