JOB FUNCTIONS
Financial Reporting and Job Costing:
  • Monitor job costing, percentage-of-completion status, and work-in-process inventory for accuracy.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process and preparation of financial statements.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and monthly operating reports.
Cash Flow, Credit, and Collections:
  • Manage weekly cash flow, including projected accounts receivable and projected invoicing.
  • Monitor the company's available line of credit.
  • Oversee credit functions, including customer terms and conditions and collections.
  • Prepare required bank compliance reports.
Audit, Budgeting, and Financial Administration:
  • Work with the outside CPA firm on audit matters and year-end closing activities.
  • Develop and manage the Finance department operating budget.
  • Develop and maintain Finance department standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on the company's financial status and related financial matters.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement within the Finance function.
Team Leadership and Accounting Oversight:
  • Lead and manage Finance personnel, including hiring, development, motivation, and performance evaluation.
  • Supervise accounting functions, including job costing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Support effective communication and collaboration between Finance and other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • At least 10 years of financial management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least five years of experience leading and managing a small team.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, accounting software, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
